Are you up for an adventure? Although the snowy landscape may feel rather lunar at times, it can be an excellent escapade to escape the city and enjoy Toronto’s outdoors. After a fresh coat of snow, embark on a gentle jaunt along the trails where your surroundings are gorgeous and not overly challenging. Brave the winter with a few of Toronto’s best hiking trails.

High Park
Wandering the trails along the west side of High Park is ideal during the winter. For a short backwoods experience, follow the route off of West Road, or drift down to Grenadier Pond where you may find families partaking in skating and hockey games.

Moore Park Ravine
The majestically snow-covered ravine is a site to be seen this season. Begin your journey at the top of Moore Park Ravine and make your way south. Upon completion, you will be greeted with the Brick Works where you may reward yourself with a specialty coffee/hot chocolate to warm up.
