Former developer and urban planner. Gracious hostess.
Experience, knowledge and dedicated service – three essential characteristics that Lindy brings to the table when she assists her clients with their real estate decisions – be they the sale of their existing home or the purchase of their new home.
Lindy’s career in real estate has followed a varied path:
As a student, she worked at Cadillac Fairview’s New Communities Group in the planning of the Erin Mills community in Mississauga. After graduating with a Masters degree in Environmental Studies (MES) from York University, Lindy began her career as an urban planner – working initially for a lawyer specializing in administrative and municipal law and then at one of the foremost Urban Planning consulting firms in Toronto. During this time, she was involved in a variety of major urban planning initiatives which have helped to shape the face of Toronto as well as a number of OMB cases. The subsequent years were spent working as a principal at a small real estate development company that focused on infill townhouse sites and condominium projects. Here she was involved in all aspects of the projects – from acquisition, concept development, permits, construction, marketing and sales.
All of this past experience provided a natural segue into real estate sales, where Lindy is able to integrate all of her talents and skills in helping her clients find the right home, in the right community.
When Lindy is not working, she spends quite a bit of time volunteering in the community at a number of different organizations and institutions. She is a strong believer that one should give back to one’s community. The focus for her volunteer work has been on education and student life. She has won awards for her work and is most proud of being awarded the Exemplar of Excellence Award by Hillel International for her work at Hillel of Greater Toronto – one of only seven lay people to be granted this honour.
